Larchmont YC: Breeze on for yesterday's Edlu Race
YESTERDAY WE POSTED ABOUT the unusual (for this time of year) Nor'easter predicted to wack the East Coast from Barnegat Bay to Maine. Sure enough it did, and continues to do so today. Nonetheless Larchmont YC held it's 62nd annual Edlu race on Long Island Sound, and it was a breezy, bumpy affair for the 58 yachts.
The Edlu serves as a Spring warm-up for many planning to race in the ensuing Block Island Race and Block Island Race Week.
Congrats of course to all the winners, but to all who weathered the conditions. When was the last time you saw reefed mains in an inshore PHRF race? There were plenty, no surprise...
