Youth Match Racing World Championship: Underway at Balboa Yacht Club
NEWPORT BEACH, CA – The fourth edition of World Sailing's Youth Match Racing World Championship is underway today hosted by Balboa Yacht Club. Twelve teams from nine nations are practicing today in the GovCup 22s in the Pacific Ocean off Newport Beach. The Opening Ceremony with an introduction of the teams, emceed by Andy Rose in his usual light and humorous way, is tonight at 1800, and will be live-streamed to the internet via Facebook Live on www.facebook.com/balboayachtclub. Racing begins Tuesday at 1200.
To view the Facebook Live shows you do not need a facebook account, and it it free. On any phone, tablet or computer just go to the Balboa YC Facebook page (link above) and look for the live video near the top of the page.
Daily pre-race and post-race shows also will be live-streamed at 1000 and 1800 respectively, and live coverage of the racing will be streamed on Friday and Saturday at 1200.
