O'Pen BIC Worlds: Like father, like son?
TRENTINO, ITA – Congrats to Mathias Coutts (NZL) who won the U13 division at last week's 2017 O'Pen BIC World Championship hosted by Circolo Vela Arco on Lake Garda with a total of 187 entries. Sailing in his first world championship, Mathias, age 11, was interviewed mid-regatta along side his famous father. Excerpt: Mathias, how do you feel about the O'Pen BIC? What's it like for you? "It’s a great boat to learn and, as dad said, you can capsize without having to empty it of water, so it’s fun. What type of craft would you like to sail on in the future? I would like to pass to the Moth. I recently had the chance to see it in action and I think it’s great. Would like to compete in the America's Cup one day? Yes of course.
