Happy Thanksgiving!

SAN FRANCISCO (#1136) – Today is the start of what most Americans will tell you is their favorite holiday, the four-day Thanksgiving weekend. Indeed, for many it started with travel yesterday or earlier this week. Yesterday is often called the USA's busiest travel day of the year, but that's another media myth. The busiest, statistically, is either the first or second Friday in August.

At Sailing Illustrated we have much to be thankful for, especially the outpouring of encouragement and support from our steadily increasing crew of FOSI – Friends of Sailing Illustrated – the Dear Readers and TFE Live Viewers across the world, the tens of thousands of website views we are getting each month after only 18 months on the job, the frankly amazing global viewership of our Facebook Live shows, and the contributions of many individuals whether advisors, writers, live guests, photographers, videographers, sponsors and financial backers.

To all of you who are celebrating this special holiday weekend, best wishes for a most enjoyable, relaxing, safe and Happy Thanksgiving! And may your pumpkin pie be as good as that still being made, by one of SI's biggest supporters, over her 80+ years, Jan Davis. Thanks, Mom!
