VOR: Brunel hold off Dongfeng and win Leg 7 by only 14m50s – full report on today's 'Tuesday

SAN FRANCISCO – Congrats to Team Brunel on their Leg 7 win this morning, on what some are calling the toughest leg in the history of the Volvo Ocean Race. Brunel match-raced Dongfeng for the last 24 hours or so, indeed for the last three days, into the finish off Itajaí, Brazil on South America's east coast. They beat finished ahead of Dongfeng by less than fifteen minutes. Brunel, with a wind-spotter high in the rig, approaching the finish line in very light conditions off Itajaí this morning within sight of 2nd place Dongfeng.
