SAN FRANCISCO (#1172) – Bernie Wilson (GER, San Diego) was our first live guest on a Sailing Illustrated webcast soon after we began in May of 2017. The esteemed sportswriter for the Associated Press, who has covered every America's Cup, Olympic Sailing regatta and Volvo Ocean Race (now The Ocean Race) since the 90s will join us live via Skype from San Diego with details of the news he broke yesterday about S+S Team USA's Taylor Canfield (USA) joining the American SailGP team and what he thinks are the implications of all that, plus his take on the the past, present and future of our sport – on and off the water.
